The state Salmon Recovery Funding Board has approved 16 projects in the South Sound – valued at over $1.9 million. The federal funds will go towards salmon recovery projects in Thurston, Pierce and Mason counties, working to restore shorelines, remove blockages, and purchase shoreline habitats.
